Stamp Review Crew - Bike Ride

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hopThe Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it. Get ready for lots of inspiration and lots of reasons to use (or buy😊) this stamp set! Currently you are visiting Lou Kitzelman on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Hi!

For this hop we are featuring Bike Ride.
I am sad to say that Bike Ride and the coordinating Build a Bike framelits are retiring. It is such a fun set and can be used for lots of different occasions. It is a really great set to use if you are super busy and tired like me. (I seem to have misplaced my mojo too!) All you really need to do is stamp and die cut a few bits and pieces and your design is nearly done. That is the great thing about detailed images - they do most of the hard work for you!

I tried to make a few cards but they were all a bit .... meh! Not ideal when you have a deadline! But ..... I did wake up this morning and quickly whipped up these quick cards using some other retiring products. I need a few birthday cards so .... job done!

Like I said the images do the work for you. Just add in some Designer Series Paper and ribbon or other embellishments and you have a quick and easy card. If you are short on time and have a few cards to make, try using the same design and just change the colours, Designer Series Paper and embellishments and you get a new (ish) look!

When I get some time I will make up a few more cards using different DSP and some of the other stamped images. I love that this stamp set has lots of smaller images that you can use with the bike or by themselves such as the flowers that I used to decorate my sentiment panel.

And of course I couldn't pass up stamping a bike. Once you have all of the parts stamped and die cut they go together really easily. The Best Route DSP had the perfect images to compliment my design.

Some enamel shapes helped finish off my design.

I have used several other products that are retiring at the end of May. You will find the full list at the end of this post. If you see something that you didn't know you 'needed', don't delay in ordering. They will only be available while stocks last. You can order directly through my online shop or you can contact me via the contact button at the top of this blog and I can pop the order in for you. You deserve a treat don't you!

Make sure you hop around to see what all the crew have done with this gorgeous stamp set. Next up is Linda Callahan. Can't wait to see what amazingness she has to show us!

ESAD April 2019 So Long Favourites blog hop

Hi Everyone. Welcome back to another ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) blog hop. For this one we are showcasing some of our favourite products that are retiring at the end of May. This is always a bitter sweet time. We are sad to say goodbye to old favourites but always happy to make way for gorgeous new products.

I am sure you will find lots of retiring products that you didn't know you needed as you make your way around the hop. My advice to you is to order these products as soon as possible as they are only available while stocks last. You don't want to miss out!

One of my favourite packs of Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the Floral Romance pack. I am ashamed to say that I had not used it until today! And yes .... that does mean I am writing this post with minutes to spare until we go live! It is gorgeous and will be perfect to use in an upcoming class I am teaching. I teamed it with 2 retiring stamp sets - Best Birds and Petal Palette - and some retiring ribbon, twine and pearls. You can find all of the products used in the list below and they are directly linked to my online Stampin' Up! shop for your convenience.

I had fun using different sides of the DSP and mixing and matching it. I love that some of the sheets are vellum like the Petal Pink lace piece on this card.

The Best Birds stamp set and coordinating Birds and Blooms thinlits has been a fast favourite of mine. I love the branch, blossoms and this sweet bird.

Using DSP on the inside of your cards is a quick and easy way to add decoration and that touch of colour.

I used some other designs from the DSP pack to make this simple card. I let the lovely patterned vellum be the star.

I hope that you can see why these are some of my retiring favourites. You can order directly through my online shop or you can contact me via the contact button at the top of this blog and I can pop the order in for you. You deserve a treat don't you!

Make sure your swing by all blogs in the hop. You will definitely get lots of inspiration and find products you didn't know you needed! Next up is Shannon. Can't wait to see what fab things she has created!

Just Add Ink #454 - Just Add a colour combo

At Just Add Ink this week we have this fabulous colour combination for you. I suggested it .... if you know me you'll have already guessed that I am sure!

Before I got carried away with some of my new products that just arrived, I decided to give some retiring products another go before I forget about them and get new favourites. I thought the Cake Soiree stamp set and coordinating Sweet Cake thinlits would be fun to use with this bright, fresh colour combo.

We've had a wet, dark Easter here on the Sunshine Coast - sunny only by name! - so it was a bit tricky to get my pictures done. I used heat embossed in white, then watercoloured the floral cake decorations. It is always nice to have some cards in different colours. I have left this one without a sentiment so that I can use it for lots of occasions.

I love how the raised heat embossing adds that little bit of shine and depth to projects. I used some retiring embellishments and trim too. The silver mini sequin trim and Best Route enamel shapes are a great addition to your crafting supplies so make sure you get in quickly before they sell out.

Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members used these fab colours. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!
