Piece of Cake bundle - Onstage Presentation - Part 4 - Avid Crafter samples

Today I have some more samples to show you using the Piece of Cake bundle from my Onstage presentation. This bundle is really great because it is perfect for crafters of every level. You can do some creative and advanced techniques with it such as heat embossing.

I love how the copper embossing is so raised and shiny! Really makes a lovely, elegant wedding card.

And it wouldn't be me if I didn't try some sort of colouring with it. I did some tricky masking to create this cake scene and then coloured with an aqua painter and ink.

I love the 2 part sentiments.

I've added some Wink Of Stella to the inks for the icing and cake stands. It is a bit hard to see though.

You can check out more that I have made with this bundle here. I have a few more samples left to show you but I they are for some upcoming Design Team posts.

It was a really great experience presenting at OnStage and I am so very grateful to Stampin' Up! for the opportunity and to Em Parkin-Wilson for the encouragement and support. x

Colour INKspiration Challenge #45 Blog Hop - 2017 - 2019 In Colours

Time to celebrate the 2017-2019 In Colours with another Colour INKspiration challenge. As usual the Crew are kicking things off with a blog hop to get your creative juices flowing. You can use 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 of the colours along with Basic Black, Whisper White and any metallics.

I've used Powder Pink, Berry  Burst and Fresh Fig along with Silver for a fun,  modern Christmas card. This is one of the card designs we will be making in my upcoming Stamp-a-stack classes. Think the ladies will like it?

I was inspired by Sam Donald (aka Pootles) and her ombre baby wipe technique. It is so easy, yet so, so effective. You fold up a baby wipe, pop it in an empty clear stamp case and ink up with your reinkers. I have used colours that will give a great ombre effect so have added them to my baby wipe in lines. You can add random dots if you like but I think the lines of colour work really well for the bauble from the Beautiful Bauble set.

I found that it worked best when I stamped on glossy cardstock. Adding the die cut bauble to a Silver Foil edged card with coordinating ribbon added that bit of sparkle in a hurry. Quick, simple but pretty!

You can also use the baby wipe stamp pad that you have made for the sentiments too.

Now there is only one problem with a fun technique like this - you can't just stop at stamping one image! The stamp pad also keeps for weeks if you seal it in the clear stamp case. I used another of the gorgeous stamps from the Beautiful Bauble stamp set for this fun card.

I simple stamped the imaged twice, side by side and then twice more on a second piece of glossy card.

I used the coordinating thinlit to die cut all of the baubles and popped them over the base images, raising with Stampin' Dimensionals.

What happens when you accidentally drop a piece of glossy cardstock onto your baby wipe stamp pad? You pretend you meant to do it of course and smear the colour all over it!

It is perfect to go behind this lattice bauble from the Detailed Baubles thinlits. And I really love the ombre sentiment bauble. So much fun! And it really is a quick and easy way to whip up some fun, unique Christmas cards.

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Piece of Cake bundle - Onstage Presentation - Part 3 - Beginner and casual Crafter samples

I have a few more samples to show you today featuring the Piece of Cake bundle. Even though it is fabulous for crafters of all levels it is great for beginner crafters to use. In my previous post I told you that I put this bundle in the 'minimum effort, maximum effect' category. It really does all the hard work for you.

You can simply stamp and colour straight onto cardstock or note cards.

Or stamp and punch the images then pop onto a card using Stampin' Dimensionals. This cake image is great because the sentiment is already in the cake!

You can also replicate these in any colour. Here is a Lovely Lipstick version.

Simple and effective - perfect for beginner crafters.

And by just adding some punched circles and some ribbon you and elevate your cards just a little.

Adding in some pearls adds a nice little detail.

You can also use the same design element on a tag for any sort of packaging. Here I have used a Kraft Pillow Box.

I just love how easy it is to put together a project with Stampin' Up!'s perfectly coordinated products.

Make sure you check out the other projects I have made with the Piece of Cake bundle. I have more to come too!

Piece of Cake bundle - Onstage Presentation part 2 - Casual Crafters gift card box

On Saturday I was privileged to showcase the new Piece of Cake bundle at the Stampin' Up! Brisbane OnStage event. It is a really fabulous bundle that is perfect for lots of occasions. I said in my presentation that I put it in the 'minimum effort, maximum effect' category. In our time poor lives bundles like this do all the hard work for us!

To showcase the stamp set I made a gift card set in a mini pizza box. I have used all of the stamps on the stamp set on this gift card set (one of them is inside the Pineapple Punch card!).

I really love this bundle and this gift card set is the perfect project for casual and avid crafters to make.

I love all of the sentiments in the set. They are really fun and versatile.

Each card has a matching envelope and I have coloured them in with Stampin' Blends where possible and Stampin' Write markers for the rest. The classic label punch pairs beautifully with all but one of the sentiments - it is a smidge too long.

You can see more samples that I have made using this set here. You can order this bundle from January 3, 2019 unless you become a demonstrator - then you can get it sooner! There is a fabulous offer for new demonstrators so stay tuned. Please contact me if you would like an Occasions Catalogue or for information on joining my team.
