Stamp Review Crew - Simply Succulents

 

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. For this hop we are featuring the Simply Succulents stamp set. It coordinates with the Potted Succulents dies.

It is fair to say that I love succulents in general so this stamp is so up my alley. It is perfect to use with Stampin' Blends or to watercolour and those are my normal go-to ways to colour the images. Today I went a totally different way .... colourless. 

I wanted to feature one of the new InColors (available from tomorrow, May 4) - Polished Pink. I have used Polished Pink cardstock, Open Weave ribbon and a piece of paper from the InColor DSP pack. I started to colour the image and it looked too busy. I really love that the images in this stamp set work so well coloured or uncoloured.

The Simply Succulents stamp set has really great sentiments and I have used the coordinating dies to die cut them. They looked a bit plain on Basic White so I have used the Polished Pink Stampin' Blends to give an ombre effect to my sentiment labels.

Funny how sometimes less is definitely  more! How exciting that you can order all of these products from tomorrow.
