Just Add Ink #778 - Just Add Colour and Inspiration - Gears & Textures Hinge Card

We are back with another Colour and Inspiration challenge at Just Add Ink this week. For this challenge you can take inspiration from the image, the colours or both. If you are using the colours you will need to use a minimum of 3.

Now at first glance you may think that I was looking at another challenge brief for my card! Look again. I have taken inspiration from the grittiness in the picture and used 3 of the colours - rust, beige and a greeny blue - or in Stampin' Up! terms - Cajun Craze, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon. It was really fun to use these colours with the Gears & Textures bundle to create my hinge card.

A quick google and you can find instructions to make these fun hinge cards. The lucky ladies in my February classes will be learning how to make them. This is one that they will get to make.

The Gears & Textures stamp set is perfect to use to stamp backgrounds on your papers. I have used pieces from the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper pack to create my background.

Hot tip: Die cut your cogs etc, arrange and tape together using repositionable tape. That way you can see where you want them to be positioned on your card. The tape allows you to keep them together but move them easily to stamp the images that will be behind them.

Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members took inspiration from the challenge pic. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!
