Just Add Ink #556 - Just Add a Slimline Card - Artistically Inked

 

Yay! It's Friday. Time for another Just Add Ink challenge. This week we are all about Slimline Cards. 

This was actually my suggestion! I have been seeing lots of slimline cards online and thought having a challenge would spur me on to make one. Slimline cards fit into a standard business envelope. I am absolutely in love with the Macramé 3D embossing folder. The texture is amazing and it really deserves to be the star of the show.

Sometimes less really is more! I have die cut the floral arrangement using the Artistic Dies. It is simple and detailed all at the same time. The sentiment is from the coordinating Artistically Inked stamp set. Such a great size! I searched my (sizable) stash for a label die the right size and found this shape in the Messages Die. And now for the twine! Did you think it was Linen Thread? Nope! It is Crumb Cake and is from the Baker's Twine Essential Pack.

Now I am sure you have a question for me? You are wondering how I embossed my piece of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Macramé 3D embossing folder aren't you? You are completely right in thinking that the embossing folder is shorter than my piece of cardstock. Well the macramé pattern is repeated so all you have to do is pop one end of your cardstock into the folder and run through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, stopping before you get to the end. Then turn your cardstock around and line the pattern up and repeat. Let me know if you'd like me to do a little video to demonstrate. It is such a great way to get more use from your embossing folders. I did show a few pics of how to do this with a different embossing folder a few days ago so check out that post here.
