Colour INKspiration Challenge #91 - Peace & Joy

 

Welcome to our last Colour INKspiration challenge of the year. We have a gorgeous colour palette for you, chosen by me! 

You need to choose at least 3 from these colours and this challenge will go for 5 weeks over the Christmas period so you have plenty of time to create. So I'm suffering from that pre-Christmas exhaustion that sets in so I just had no brain space to think up an original idea. Luckily I have plenty of original ideas throughout the year so decided to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) myself. I really loved this card that I designed a few months ago so decided to use that as the base of my design. 

I have used Mango Melody, Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Glitter on my card. The stamped sentiment is from the Curvy Christmas stamp set. The stamp is photopolymer so I was able to coax it into a straight line to stamp my card. I had intended to die cut the edges using the Curvy Dies but I just didn't have the time (or inkling) when it came down to it.

 

I love the Joy dies. I used the largest 'bright' outline to die cut from my Whisper White base to reveal the Basic Black layer behind. Then I added the 2nd 'bright' die cut in Whisper White and a 3rd in Magenta Madness. And did you notice my glitter holly berries? I have used a regular office hole punch to punch them out of Rainbow Glimmer Paper, which just happens to have heaps of our challenge colours in it. And if that wasn't glittery enough, I have added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the ends and middle of the stars. I've only just bought this and am Shimmery Crystal Effecting everything!

I have used the same colours on the inside of my card. Aren't they just so fun and fresh? My favourite sentiment for inside my Christmas cards this year is from the stamp set that comes with the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit.
