Creating Kindness Design Team February 2019 blog hop - Birthdays - Lovely Lattice

Can you believe we are already into February! The Creating Kindness Design Team are all about birthdays for this month's hop. I am sure you will find so many ideas to get your birthday card stash stocked! Our guest designer is Louise Sharp. She is a fellow Aussie and an amazingly talented chick. Make sure you check out her blog here. Welcome from one Lou to another!

I made some cute, cool baby cards the other day and because I seem to only have one good idea a week I decided to use the same design idea for some birthday cards. When you're onto a good thing .....

The Well Said bundle has fabulous words and phrases that you can use to form your sentiments. It is such a versatile set. Check it out on page 27 of the Occasions Catalogue if you have missed it. Some soft and subtle Soft Sea Foam stamped and die cut words worked really well with my bold watercolouring.

The Rectactangle Stitched Shapes framelits are are great way to get professional (and straight) edges on your cards and they are also great to use for cut out windows.

I love that the sentiment can be seen when the card is both open and closed.

Now those flowers ..... worked out what stamp they are from? It is the Lovely Lattice stamp set. They have been heat embossed, watercoloured and then fussy cut. It is always great to have a few ways to use stamp sets.

And even better - the Lovely Lattice is one of the free Sale-a-bration ones you can choose when you spend over $90 AUD. Oh and did you know you could get 2 free products if you chose the Well Said bundle and the Rectangle Stitched Shapes Framelits. Winning x2!

We made these cards in our class on Monday so I thought I would show you another version using the same design.

This one used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch.

And how gorgeous is that Beautifully Detailed Laser-cut DSP. Such a quick way to add a bit of fancy!

Quick heat embossing in white and watercolouring = beautiful butterflies.

Stay tuned to see if I get one good idea next week! Hope you liked this one!

Make sure you continue both the video and blog hop. Next up is the fabulous Paula Dobson. Can't wait to see her birthday creation!

Lou

  1. Two beautiful cards, inside and out! Those Lovely Lattice flowers cut away from the lattice may find me fussy cutting.
