Colour INKspiration Challenge #43 Blog Hop

It's time for another Colour INKspiration challenge. For this one we are all about the current InColours. All you have to do is choose 1, 2, 3, 4 or all InColours + any Basics or metallics. Easy right!

Lovely Lipstick was my first colour of choice. It paired really nicely with Basic Black and Whisper White.

Last week I showed you the start of my shimmerising phase. Yes people .... it's a real thing .... in my world. Find out how to make the Shimmer Spritz here. But the short story is - clear emboss some words then shimmer spritz away! The embossed parts resist the Shimmer Spritz and you get a fab effect. So now see why I am in a shimmerising phase???

For this version I have used Champagne Mist Shimmer paint in my spritz mix. I think it looks the best but it's one of those 'I look better in real life' situations!

I also tried Frost White but I wasn't as happy with the effect.

I love that I was able to use the Merry Christmas To All bundle for these birthday cards. The 'birthday' is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set. No masking necessary as the little label framelit cuts it out perfectly.

The photos really don't do the shimmery-ness justice but you can see the sparkle from this angle and just how well the emboss resist works.

My second colour scheme was Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch. Super hard to photograph and I won't tell you how many pics I took!

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as Metallics. Not a member of the Facebook group yet? Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous colours.

We welcome 2 Guest Designers for this challenge, Anne Matasci who won challenge #CI41 and Jan Clothier who won our last challenge #CI42. Next up we have Jan so make sure you check out her fabulous card.

  3. Oooohhhhh these are soooo pretty. And I'm thinking I might join the shimmerising movement! I love the multiple "happy"s too. Stunning cards. I think my favourite might be the lipstick even though I usually favour blues.

  4. I'm an enormous shimmer spray fan, but this is a technique I haven't yet tried! (One of my more "interesting" uses for shimmer spray was to give one last life to a rather care-worn Halloween costume - it was a great success!)
