Just Add Ink #760 - Just Add a Colour Combo - Rustic Centerpiece



At Just Add Ink this week we have a colour palette for you. 


I had no 'thinking out of the box'-ness left in me this week so I went with the obvious and whipped up a Christmas card using the new Online Exclusive stamp set - Rustic Centerpeice.


I've used the Splishy Sploshy Watercolouring technique to colour my image. And yes ..... I did make that up! It's pretty simple. I tapped some ink from an ink pad onto a clear stamping block, grabbed my Water Painter (or a brush and water) and splished and sploshed the colour on. Honestly I did try to take care and be all watercoloury at first and it looked a bit meh! So I splished and I sploshed more colour on and ... well it didn't look any worse. 


Because the images are rustic this technique is perfect to use with it and you don't need to think much. Add your colour and let the stamped outline and shading do the work for you. Quite freeing actually!
