At Just Add Ink this week we are asking you to Just Add a Belly Band.
A Belly Band is ...... well .... it's a band that holds the belly of the card in! Traditionally you make it all in cardstock and it slips over the card to hold it shut. I have found that these can be a bit tricky for the recipient to get on and off so I've gone with a simpler version where the band is tightened using a ribbon tied in a bow. Plus it makes it pretty as well!
The Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection is full of gorgeous things - from the Designer Series Paper, dies, stamps, ribbons - all the things really! I really am in love with the foliage dies though. I die cut a few from each coordinating colour of cardstock and then arranged them. Some are on my belly band and some are sitting behind that, attached to my card front.
When you untie the belly band you can unfold the Panel Card. This card fold is really nice way to show off pieces of Designer Series Paper that you are hesitant to cut because they are too pretty! Don't leave it in the pack. Use it on card folds like this!
The sentiments are from the Right Words stamp set. There are lots of sentiments that pair together so work perfectly for cards like this.
This is one of the card folds that we made in a recent class focusing on the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection.
Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members added Belly Bands to their projects. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!
