Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration challenge. This inspiration picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Crew Member, Monica Formosa.
I'm a bit late to post my card for our challenge as I'm just back from a few days away. I love how different our colour palette looks depending on how much you use of each colour. I have used more Secret Sea and Cloud Cover with small pops of the Melon Mambo and Darling Duckling. Yes ... that is Darling Duckling on the leaves. You can always tell my least favourite colours as they only get a small bit part in my designs!
I knew I had to use the fabulous Two-Tone Cardstock from Stampin' Up!. Using the Damask Designs embossing folder on the Secret Sea Two-Tone, with a light sand added fab texture. The frame is die cut from Cloud Cover Two-Tone using the Galley Blooms dies. It is a bit hard to see but I have used the darker side for the frame and the lighter side underneath with the partial leaf die cut (from the Beautiful Motifs dies).
I love how there are 3 dies in the Beautiful Motifs set that partially die cut so you can add a bit of depth to your designs. I have added black Stampin' Dimensionals behind the larger leaves to prop them up.
Some gold elements, die cut using the Gallery Blooms set, and a coloured flower was all I needed to finish off my design. I'm not the hugest fan of Darling Duckling, but I'm quite happy with how it looks on the leaves.
