Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration challenge. This inspiration picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Crew Member, Vicki Boucher. Isn't it a pretty combination!
As soon as I saw these colours my mind immediately went to flowers ..... but ..... then .... for some reason ... it went to tools! Of course it did! I built this Tool Bench Double Layer Easel Card using the Trusty Tools bundle. You can see others that I have made
here.
It's a really fun card fold. The card folds flat and looks like a standard card until .....
... you open up the double layers and prop the main panel behind the smaller one. So simple but certainly puts on a good display!
It was so easy to die cut and assemble the tools. I plan to make another of these in other colours.
The double layer part is easy to make. I have scored my card base 1" in from the edge but you can play around with this measurement. This allows for the card front to be very upright. The front section is supported by a box. Your cardstock for the box needs to be the length (or shorter) of the front layer, in this case my tool box, and 2 1/2" long. Score every 1/2" and adhere the first and last sections together to form a box. Adhere the box in place on the card base so that the back of it is at the 1" mark. Attach your front section and decorate.
