Stamp Review Crew - Butterfly Brilliance

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hopThe Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it. You can find the complete list of all the crew hopping today here. Get ready for lots of inspiration and lots of reasons to use (or buy😊) this stamp set! Currently you are visiting Lou Kitzelman on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Hi!

For this hop we are featuring the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. It coordinates with the Brilliant Wings dies.

Yesterday I showcased a fun card fold that I came up with called a Double-sided Upright Panel card. You can read more about it here. It is a fabulous card fold to show off beautiful die cuts so of course I had to use the Butterfly Brilliance bundle with it!

The butterflies are all attached on one stamp so I positioned it on my Stamparatus and applied the ink  using blending brushes. You can keep adding ink to build up the layers and blend. I have used Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo and Crushed Curry to coordinate with the colours in the DSP which is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack. My original idea was to stamp the butterflies in black and colour them but ... they looked yucky. So I added the plain black butterflies under the coloured version for a bit of contrast.

As the name of the card fold suggests, there are 2 sides to the card. The second side even has a secret message panel. Well ... not so secret seeing as I just told you! I added some Glittered Organdy Ribbon to each side. Some pleating on one side and a bow on the other.

In case you missed them, here are 2 other cards I have made using this stamp set. They are part of a tutorial bundle. You can find more information here and at the end of this post.

Make sure you hop around to see what all the crew have done with this gorgeous stamp set. Next up is Cindy Elam. Make sure you flutter on by to see her creation!
