Happy Monday. I hope that you have had a great weekend. Just a quick post today to show you some fun cards for an upcoming class. The idea came on one of those days when I wanted to craft but didn't have the brain space to come up with a design. That ever happen to you? The Stampin' Up! catalogues are a fabulous source of inspiration and I must admit, I don't make nearly enough use of them. I knew that I wanted to use my Artistically Inked bundle so turned to page 96 of the catalogue for a look. I saw the card on the top right of the page and went about recreating it.
Mostly I see a design and then add my own spin on it ... but this card was just perfect as is. I thought that it was a really fab way to use the paper which is from the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper pack.
I love the gold running through the DSP so used Brass Foil sheets to die cut the floral arrangement using the Artistic dies. Brass foil has retired but you can use Gold Foil sheets.
I have used Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Just Jade ink to stamp the images with the Artistically Inked stamp set. Once die cut, you can pop them behind the gold die cut. They are not an exact match but that adds to the artiness of it all.
The sentiment is also in the stamp set. I have used the Messages die to die cut the label for it.
