Stamp Review Crew - Nothing's Better Than

 

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. For this hop we are featuring the Nothing's Better Than stamp set.

This stamp set has great retro images and fabulous sentiments. I am a bit ashamed to say that it has sat on my desk for so long and has never been used. Shame on me! It is such a wonderful set and coordinates with the Love You More Than dies. There are so many fabulous ways to use these products but I was drawn to the sentiments. I love how you can put them together in so many different ways. I've only used 2 of the stamps on my card front but they were just perfect for the idea I had in mind.

I wanted to create a Thank You card with a difference for a friend who always seems to know just the right time to pop something in the mail for me. I am thinking that I should make one of these for myself to pop in a frame!

My starting point was this piece of paper from the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper Pack. It has gorgeous gold veins running through so I have used Gold Embossing Powder for the sentiments to match. I masked off 'consume' from the 'Today's Plan' stamp.

I couldn't bring myself to trim this gorgeous piece of DSP. Seemed so mean! Luckily the Basic White Assorted Memories & More Cards and Envelopes are a touch bigger than 6" (half the length of the DSP) so no DSP was harmed in the making of this card! Now what about those letters! I have used the Playful Alphabet dies and Polished Pink card stock. Then I used gold Gilded Leafing to tie them in with DSP.

There is one other sentiment that I particularly love in the stamp set so I used it on the inside of my card.

Now that I have actually cracked this stamp set open I have so many ideas of ways to use it. I am sure I will get lots more from the the rest of the crew too!
