ESAD Annual Catalogue Blog Hop - Give it a Whirl

Hi and thanks for joining us for another ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) blog hop. Whether you are starting with me or have hopped over from visiting the fabulous Tanya Rees, welcome! Today we are sharing our favourite products from the new 2021-22 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!. Gosh! So many lovelies to choose from!

I finally narrowed it down to some items in my top 5. I have used the Sending Hugs stamps set and Layering Hugs dies along with the Give It A Whirl dies.

I absolutely love the Sending Hugs bundle. It looks lovely coloured in with Stampin' Blends in the new InColors. There are lots of little sentiments in the set so I thought they would work really well with the Give it a Whirl dies. And you know I love an interactive card! So you just turn the wheel, following the direction of the super cute arrow, to reveal the message.

Isn't that fun! I really loved how it turned out and decided that it was the type of card that needs to stand up for display so I turned it into a tent card. You will find the instructions on how to make the tent card at the end of this post.

The back has a message panel. I have used the edges of the large stamp to get just a touch of foliage on the back.

I also needed to make a masculine version. I have used Pale Papaya and Night of Navy. Such a beautiful combo. I have used a piece of Pale Papaya paper from the 2021-23 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack for the letters and mat. I also used a piece from the same pack in Polished Pink for the letters on my first card. The die cut arrow is from the Give It A Whirl dies. There is so much in that set of dies. Stay tuned as I am hooked now so will make some more versions to show you soon.

I just love how you can use these dies to reveal your message. So many ideas are running through my head!

Want to have a go at making the Tent Card?

Give it a Whirl Tent Card instructions.
Cut a piece of A4 in half lengthways and trim length to 28 cm. Fold in half.
The base is made with a piece of cardstock 7 x 10.5 cm. Score along the short side and fold as per the diagram below.
Fold up your cardstock so that it is a concertina with the middle fold sitting up like a mountain. Apply tape to the 2 outside edges. This concertina gets attached to the bottom edges of the card inside to form a tent. Make sure that the middle fold is sitting up and the 2 outside folds are facing down.
Decorate as desired. This card will fit into a standard C6 envelope.
Well I hope that you continue hopping around to each blog. You will see some amazing ideas and are sure to have a VERY long wishlist by the end! Let me know if you need a hand to order anything! You can find the full list of products that I used today here
