Colour INKspiration Challenge #97 - Bloom and Grow

 

Welcome back to another Colour INKspiration challenge. With Daylight Savings finishing here in Australia last week, we thought this gorgeous photo chosen by crew member Denita Wright-Smee would be perfect. The photo was taken by Denita's husband's best mate Phil Winterton in Gunnedah NSW.

I wanted to use the soon to retire Bloom and Grow stamp set and coordinating Budding Blooms dies for my card. It is such a lovely set so make sure you grab them before they sell out. 

I have teamed the also retiring Rococo Rose cardstock with Crumb Cake for a soft delicate look. I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give  my card base and mat some texture. This embossing folder is also retiring and happens to be reduced. It is one of my most used folders!

 

When I was sorting through my retiring products, I was quite proud of myself that many of the items were well used. Yay me! I did find an unopened pack of Gold Hoops Embellishments. I must have been saving them for just the right project! Well I found it! They are perfect to add behind my image which has been coloured with Stampin' Blends and markers in the challenge colours. 

I added some splatters of  Crumb Cake ink and trimmed the card mat and sentiment with some (already sold out) ribbon. I had intended to add more die cut foliage but liked it as it. Sometimes less really is more!
