Stamp Review Crew - Pampered Pets

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it. You can find the complete list of all the crew hopping today here. Get ready for lots of inspiration and lots of reasons to use (or buy😊) this stamp set! Currently you are visiting Lou Kitzelman on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Hi!

For this hop we are featuring the Pampered Pets stamp set. It coordinates with the Pets dies. An adorable combination! And the fabulous news is that these will both be carrying over into the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Yay!

This stamp set has such sweet images but it is the sentiments I have focused on for my cards today. So you see ... I got to see the soon to be released Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up! this week and it sent me into a guilty panic ... so many products to use before they retire! The Playful Pets Designer Series Paper was in that pile so I wanted to use it for these cards. All of the kitties have such personality and of course I have named them all. That's not weird is it????

So I started with a piece of cardstock the size of a standard card closed. Then I cut a strip of the DSP and folded so it fitted with an even border around. Add in a scallop and heart from the Stitched Be Mine dies and a fussy cut feline and I was done. Oh and the sentiment of course. When you open up the card you see the other side of the paper (just realised the pattern is upside down .. oops) and the message panel.

I did use a stamp on the envelope though!

I also needed to make a card for our nephew so used the same design with a piece of DSP featuring the dogs.

For this version, I taped down the bottom flap to create a pocket for a bit of birthday cash!

Now I know that these cards are pretty simple but sometimes that is all you have time to do! Last year I made these fun cards using this stamp set so ... in case you missed them here they are. You can read more about them here

Make sure you hop around to see what all the crew have done with this gorgeous stamp set. Next up is Betty Traciak. Can't wait to see her creation.

  2. The simplicity shows off the paper beautifully!

  3. I love how the DSP really shines on your projects, and the little stitched heart is perfect. (And that's a LOT of fussy cutting on those previous projects - totally worth it for the end result!)
