Welcome back to another Colour INKspiration challenge. We have a gorgeous palette for this one (although I probably say that every time!) chosen my crew member Leonie Stuart. This challenge runs for 3 weeks so you will have plenty of time over Easter to create something fabulous.
If you are a regular follower you will know that I have not been well .... and now this week I have a head cold ... nothing major ... but let's just say sneezing and tiny die cut pieces do not mix! Anyway I knew I wanted to use the gorgeous
Pierced Blooms dies for my card.
I am crossing every part of me that these fabulous dies carry over into the new Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. They really do make it so easy to put card designs together. Tomorrow is when we will find out which products are retiring. Will some of your faves be on it? Check back tomorrow so I can let you know. And of course if you have had something that is retiring on your list, make sure you grab it quickly as items sell out quickly.
Right ... back to my card! I used the dies to die cut flowers and leaves from the challenge colours. You can layer the blooms and curl the petals for a bit of a 3D effect.
My aim today was to just have some fun creating and see what came out. A bit of creative time out! I have used the
Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder (oh another fave to cross everything for!) to emboss a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. There is a piece of Basic White in the background .... we'll just say operator error meant that was too small ... but it made the cut anyway. My Sahara Sand piece is backed with a piece of Blushing Bride metallic cardstock from the
Love You Always Foil sheets pack. The
Pierced Blooms dies have a great pierced label in it and it worked perfectly with the sentiment from the Boho Indigo stamp set out of the
Boho Indigo Product Medley.
