Colour INKspiration Challenge #89 - Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin

Hey! Welcome back to another Colour INKspiration challenge. We have a lovely Christmassy colour combination for you this week.

I am preparing for a class so I thought I would multi-task and make a card that will fit both my class and this challenge. I went from looking for my mojo everywhere to getting so carried away and making 2 cards!

Wondering what stamp set I have used? It is from the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit not only includes the makings for 8 cards, but a really lovely stamp set. In my class on Monday we will be using the kit, but I also wanted to show the ladies how to get the most out of their stamp set. Come back in a few days to see some birthday versions.

So armed with ink pads in the challenge colours - Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade - I stamped the images and got to fussy cutting. I stamped the flower once in Just Jade and 3 times in Poppy Parade. The Just Jade layer is cut out completely and then one Poppy Parade flower and bud are adhered over the top. The centre of the other 2 flowers are then cut out to form smaller blooms.

And for my Gray Granite element I have used a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Peony Garden DSP pack. I like the contrast with the Whisper White mat. My Poppy Parade ribbon is from the All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. And how could I forget .... a few Gilded Gems to finish off my flowers.

I am in love with this stamp set! It sure was a cure for no-mojo! It does all of the hard work for you. The fonts and size of the sentiments are really fab so of course I had to make a second card. This time (because I was low on puff) I stamped the wreath straight onto the Whisper White mat and only fussy cut the sentiment and flowers.

The kit comes with a small Just Jade ink pad and you could easily just use that for the green elements in this card. I am really loving these small square cards. You get 2 card bases and the 2 Whisper White mats from 1 piece of Whisper White cardstock. Bargain!

Now I just mentioned how much I love this stamp set and if you check the inside of my card you will see exactly why! How great is that sentiment!
