Colour INKspiration Challenge #85 - Ornamental Envelopes

Hey there! Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration challenge. I absolutely love our inspiration pic. In fact, when the crew were voting for which pics to use for our challenges, I voted 5 times for this! Ooops!

So I loved the pic but when it came to create with the colours I had no clue where to start. I have been having a very meh week so that probably added to my lack of creativity. Anyway after a few false starts I decided to start with a Whisper White card base. I have used the Ornamental Envelopes bundle to die cut the detailed pattern and then embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

I have then created an inlaid effect. Not sure if that is a thing but ..... I did it! First I backed the pattern with a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. It is a bit hard to see but I then filled in the gaps with Fine Tip glue to give a glassy effect. Trust me - it looks ace. I added in a Misty Moonlight branch and Rich Razzleberry dots. It was fiddly but I was really happy with the effect. Then some gorgeous Gorgeous Grape flowers to top off the design. 

Originally my card was going to be orientated the other way because I was not going to add a sentiment but when I added the bow it looked weird so sentiment it was. I have used ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack for my bows.

The Little Treats Bundle really is becoming a favourite of mine. I adore the fonts and sentiments and they work so well with the tags in the set. They are not too big and not too small! Just right!
