30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 8 - Ink Blending and Day 9 - Oh Christmas Tree

Welcome to Days 8 and 9 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge. Martin Stone has organised another month long card making challenge and this one is all about Christmas. If you'd like to see the whole month's challenge themes, check out his blog post here. I am trying to do the whole 30 days but we will see how I go. If you'd like to see cards made for the challenge check out this hashtag - #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge

I have made both cards using this super cute bundle - Have a Hoot bundle. This is the first chance I have had to play with it and ... I love it! So on to the challenge for Day 8.

Ink blending is such a fabulous way to add a bit of ooomph to your cards. All you have to do is use your blending tool of choice (sponge, dauber or blending brush) and an ink pad or 2.

All I have done is used Just Jade and Shaded Spruce on my Whisper White card mat. This cute pair where coloured with Stampin' Blends and die cut. I've popped them up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

And how cute is that sentiment? The dies in the set have a set of 3 tags which I can't wait to play with more.

While I had the Have a Hoot bundle out I thought I would use it for Day 9's project.

I thought all of the owls in the set would look cute arranged in a tree shape. Not sure how my brain got there!

The owls are arranged on a large stitched triangle. Once I had them positioned I could work out where to stamp the branches.

So there have it - 2 more challenge days, 2 more cards, 1 super cute bundle!

  1. So clever how you arranged the owls on the triangle for your tree. Love this Lou. 😊
