30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 3 Candy Canes - Day 4 Sketch

Welcome to Day 3 and 4 of the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge. Martin Stone has organised another month long card making challenge and this one is all about Christmas. If you'd like to see the whole month's challenge themes, check out his blog post here. I am trying to do the whole 30 days but we will see how I go. If you'd like to see cards made for the challenge check out this hashtag - #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge

So, Day 3! We are all about Candy Canes.

Hmmmmm .... checked my stash and not a candy cane in sight! So I decided to cut some strips of Whisper White and Real Red cardstock and make my own candy canes. As I cut the strips, I tossed them onto my Crumb Cake mat. I liked the haphazard arrangement so much that I adhered them like that! Sometimes things work out well when you don't force it or try so hard. That's organic creating to you hipsters out there.

I am in love with the Peace & Joy bundle. How simple is my die cut word and stamped image! Simple yet fabulous (not to boast!).

I am on track with each day's challenge but decided to blog 2 days at a time so that you don't get sick of me! So on to Day 4. It's this great sketch.

My next card class (held via Zoom) is on Monday and .... well ... I am yet to make the samples so decided to multitask! So for the class each person received a kit with products from the Wonder of the Season Suite.

Part of the kit includes half a pack of the Wonder of the Season Memories & More cards. The pack includes gorgeous designs and even gold stickers (like the 'Believe') and other images (like the bells).

This is a really simple use of the sketch, which I have turned on it's side. The aim of this class is to make quick cards so that is exactly what I did! The gold thread is from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon combo pack - also in the class kit.

So I had better back to it and make up the rest of the kit. Only 11 more cards, 1 box and some tags to go. Who needs sleep right!
