Social Stamping - New (normal) - Lovely You!

Hi and welcome to another Social Stamping blog hop, hosted by my fabulous friend Kelly Kent. It's a Saturday stamping get together so sit back and hop around to each blog for a bit of inspiration. If you get lost you can go back to the main post here to get back on track.

This week we are exploring the theme of New {Normal}. Hmmmm ..... that's a tricky one for me. As COVID-19 restrictions are easing, people's lives are getting back to some semblance of normality. It's great that people can start resuming normal activities. For me that hasn't started yet. Many people with health issues (like me) are still sequestered at home, watching life resuming for others all around them, while we watch on and try to make the best of things. Better to be safe and well .....hey! So  that's how it is. So what's new for me? Well Stampin' Up! released their new 2020-21 Annual Catalogue and I have some new products to play with!

Sometimes I don't realise how great a product is until I start using it. That's what it was like once I started using the new Lovely You and Many Mates stamp sets and Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. You can whip up quick and easy cards like this one.

Simple sprays of foliage and a punched sentiment teamed with the cute Memories & More card make a quick and easy card.

The fabulous thing about the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch is that you can determine the length of the strip. So versatile! Punching smaller lengths can be a bit tricky so I came up with a way to create handles to make it easier.

I've  made a video showing you lots of tips and tricks so make sure you check it out.

Here are the 2 cards I demonstrated in the video. Both very quick and easy!

The Lovely You stamp set has fab solid floral and foliage images that work well when stamped in different colours.

So that's it for the new things I have been playing with. I'd love to know what's new for you. Let's hop on over now to Jan's blog. I can't wait to see her fabulous creation.

  1. Such beautiful cards! I love the Lovely You stamp set and pick a punch. They are going to be very well used I think. Great tip for the punch. I love all of the colour combos. Hopefully you will be able to get out soon, but yes better to look after yourself and play with your new goodies for now.

  2. Oh my - LOVE! I might have been a bit hasty to only buy the punch and disregard the Lovely You stamp set. Trust you to enable me ;) Hoping QLD can keep its numbers low so you can return to the world again soon and experience your own version of the new normal. How sweet it will be - and hopefully worth the wait! I confess to missing the lockdown life a little! Kelly x

  3. well if you can't get out yet you've conquered the "getting out there" with your fabulous video- and gorgeous cards as always. I couldn't wait to get both stamp sets and I love them too. I didn't think I needed the punch but it looks like I was wrong about that! Like Kelly I feel you are enabling me!! I think everyone will have a lot of adjusting to do with what "normal" looks like for each of us.

  5. Such cleverness masked in stunningly gorgeous simple cards. I'm so inspired!! Thankyou for the amazing tips with the punch - I really needed these as I was getting rather crazily frustrated with the lack of symmetry.! Thankyou! Love your work.

  6. Great tips for using the punch. I especially like the way you've layered the smaller size under some of the labels, that's a different look and it's great. You've made this punch seem even more versatile - it wasn't on my list but it is now!! All your cards are so pretty, I think sometimes we forget how effective just stamping is. I particularly love the examples with matching envelopes.
