Sailing Home - #TGIFC265


I always love checking out the TGIF challenge each week but just don't seem to find time to participate. I just happened to make a card this week that fits perfectly with this week's theme of travel. Yay!


I have used my Double Pop-up Adapted Easel card fold to make this fun nautical themed birthday card. There are details at the end of this post about the tutorial for this card fold. I am so glad that the Sailing Home stamp set and coordinating Smooth Sailing dies are continuing into the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. The Come Sail Away DSP is retiring but you can still snap it up until June 2!


So back to my card! This is a fun fold that is perfect for a special birthday as it stands up nicely for display, while still folding flat to fit into a standard envelope. My yachts are stamped in Night of Navy ink. I have added a light wash of the same ink to colour the image. 


The inside of the card has plenty of room to add a message too.
