Colour INKspiration Challenge #74 - Tags in Bloom

Well aren't these interesting times we are living in? I hope that you are safe and well and finding ways to stay that way. Me ..... well I am hunkering down in my craft room and trying to stay calm and not dwell on things too much.

We have a really fabulous colour combination for our latest Colour INKspiration challenge. It is one I LOVE! The inspiration pic was taken by one of our crew members, Simone Bartrum. Here is what she had to say about it - “This photo was taken on the stunning island of Mykonos. With classic whitewashed buildings, mazes of charming streets and awesome shopping, it was one of our favourite ports on the 2019 Greek Isles Incentive Trip.”

Recently I saw some really lovely cards using vellum as the card base made by the fabulous Caroline van der Straaten. You can check them out here. I made up some and was hooked. My first designs are for a blog hop on Saturday March 28 so you'll have to wait until then for them, but I was so taken with the design that I made some similar using our challenge colours.

I have used regular vellum to make these cards. One sheet gives you 2 cards. The Stitched So Sweetly dies make great mats. The card on the left above has the front mat under the card front and the right one has it on top for a different look.

In this time of isolation and not being able to see your friends and family in  person, the Tags in Bloom {FREE} Sale-a-bration stamp set has some great sentiments that are just so apt at the moment.  You can still earn Sale-a-bration products for another week - until the end of March - so why not get your crafty on and order some great products to while away the time!

Isn't this just the best sentiment to use on a card at the moment! I plan to send this to a friend ... well if I have stamps ..... and can get to a post box. Hmmm ....  might try courier pidgeon .... maybe.

I have stamped the main frame with the flowers attached, coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut. I stamped a second one and just cut out the flowers. The stitched frame is punched out using the coordinating Label Me Lovely punch.

A die cut mat on the inside, perfectly in line with the top one, gives you a space to write a message.

If you are spending some time being creative (because let's face it ... we can only watch so much Netflix!) we'd love to see your creations.
