Welcome to our February Creating Kindness Design Team blog hop. This month we welcome Sue Vine as our Guest Designer and our theme is florals. Now I just couldn't go past this gorgeous cake from the Sale-a-bration Happy Birthday to You stamp set. It is adorned with beautiful floral blooms and to make it even easier Stampin' Up! has released some coordinated dies that go with this set. Find out more about them here.
Now what do you think about that card fold? Nifty isn't it! It is one I dreamt up and is called a Pop-up Adapted Easel card. I showed you this card over the weekend as part of The Dimensionals February Tutorial Bundle. Yep there is a tutorial that you can get to make this great card fold. I love that it stands up so beautifully!
I have used the free Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper on the base. It is so striking with the black and gold. This card was a special order for a special birthday. The gorgeous blooms, coloured with Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends, make a great backdrop for the 50!
The sentiments, also from the Happy Birthday to You stamp set, have been heat embossed in gold.
This gorgeous cake can have other blooms added to it as well. For my second Pop-Up Adapted Easel Card I have used the Forever Blossoms stamp set.
It gives you a different look and seeing as our theme is florals, I figured that it was okay to be more flower than cake!
I may have already said it, but ... I love this card fold!
Make sure you continue our blog hop to see lots of floraly prettiness. Next up is my lovely and so so creative friend, Jenny Hall. Can't wait to see her take on florals!
