Hi and welcome to a very special Colour INKspiration blog hop. Today is 3 years to the day that we launched on Facebook – 11th January 2017. Over those 3 years we have shared so many great colour combinations for you to use so for this hop we thought we would all choose our favourite 3 Stampin' Up! colours and create something with them. Our theme is BIRTHDAYS - only seems right to celebrate this fab milestone!
As you hop around to each crew member's blog you will find 22 great colour combinations. We'd love you choose your favourite 3 Stampin' Up! colours (or to use any of our colour combinations) and enter the challenge - details on how to enter are at the end of my post. Don't forget that neutrals and metallics are allowed as well. Because we know that you will love so many of our colour combination we are allowing you to enter as many times as you like.
This colour combination is great to use for cards for males and teens but today I wanted to use them with some great new floral products to give a different way to use them. Who says poppies have to be red!
You can find all of the products used for this card by clicking this link. The Poppy Moments dies are fabulous for creating bold, striking cards, quickly! It is a touch hard to see in the pics but I have used a marker in Pineapple Punch and Coastal Cabana to colour the top die cuts. It makes them slightly darker and adds a bit of definition without having to use other colours.
This design is really simple. By die cutting out the centre panel, raising it up with dimesionals and placing it at an angle you immediately create a bit of interest. I've embossed the border with the gorgeous Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder. Don't you just love the texture!
The inside of the card gets some love too. I have used one of the labels from the Painted Labels dies to raise the sentiment. Why not!
Now of course this design could be replicated in lots of different colours. I have a cheeky confession. I made this card at the last minute and instead of faffing about with the placement of the leaves - I am sure you have been there, agonising over the placement of little details - I looked at the Mini catalogue for guidance. There is a card on the front cover that I used to help me. No need to reinvent the wheel - unless you are in a wheel inventing mood of course!
Don't forget to check out this link if you are interested in purchasing the supplies to make this card.
