Just Add Ink # - Just Add a 'H'

Happy Friday. At Just Add Ink this week we are all about adding H! We love seeing your entries so why not get your crafty on over the weekend and enter your creations!

This week I was asked to custom make a card to give to someone who has just bought their first house. So how fortuitous was it that it was H week at JAI! So Happy Housewarming!

I must say .... I was really chuffed with how this card turned out. My door mat with the fringing is probably my favourite part! You see, I was wondering what to use to prop up the easel part of my card ..... so a door mat seemed obvious! The Stitched Rectangle Dies set has the perfect door mat shape (as well as other sizes that I used to make my card mats with) but it needed a fringe! Solid Whipser White Baker's Twine to the rescue!

This is an Easel Card fold. I know I tend to use this fold a lot but you know what ..... people love it so I'm going to stick with it! It folds flat to fit into an envelope .....

..... then stands up for display. The 'congrats' is from a retired set called Sunshine Wishes and I printed out the 'on your new home' on my home printer. Of course as soon as I delivered the card, I arrived home to find my Stampin' Up! order waiting at my door, complete with the Delightful Day stamp set, which has this sentiment in it. Next time I can use it! And don't you love the texture on the house wall? I have used the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder. I love how high the embossing is.

I wonder if you spied the pocket that I created in the shape of a house! I have used the Pocket Dies to create it. I added the roof to the top of the pocket and covered the pointy bottom of it with the sentiment. The Budding Blooms Dies has the cut scallop edging and flower dies for a little bit of house decorating!

The pocket makes the perfect place to pop some money or a gift card as a  house warming present!

Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members added H. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!
