At Just Add Ink this week we have a fun sketch for you to use as this week's challenge. I love sketches. They are the perfect way to kick start your creativity if you are a bit stuck ... and I have been this week.
I thought this sketch would be the perfect way to showcase some of my new products. Not that I ever need an excuse to crack open new stuff! I needed to make some cards for boys and men with a sport theme. Lucky I had just received my For the Win stamp set! So many sports covered!
For this card I went quite simple. Quite simply I am exhausted so simple it was!
I used this fab new Denim Ribbon to create the stripes in the sketch. It is a quick and simple way to add texture.
There are lots of great images and sentiments in this stamp set. They are pretty plain which is something I often look for when making cards for teenage boys and men. Sometimes you just need plain images that can be the focal point.
Not sure if you noticed, but there is a bit of a sparkle in the white heat embossed bits. I have used the new Shimmer White embossing powder. It is fabulous - sparkly enough without being too glitzy. It has a holographic shine when you get it in the light. This is one that needs to be seen in person to appreciate!
I had planned to a make a few more in this design. The stripes could be changed to suit different sporting teams. Definitely a design to recreate in different colours. Who has time to think up endless new and creative ideas!
