Colour INKspiration Challenge #55 Blog Hop

How is your week going? Feel like a crafty break from everything? We have a fun colour challenge for you at Colour INKspiration. All you have to do is choose 3 or more of these fun colours to create with. And as an added bonus there are some special prizes on offer for participants so check out the Facebook page for all of the details. We love seeing all of your entries!

When a challenge has this many colours it easy to become a bit daunted. I find it easier to start somewhere (a bit obvious I know!). What I mean is choose something as the focal point. It might be a stamp set, an occasion or person or you might actually know the colours you want to use, then build from there, making one decision at a time. I always start by getting all of the ink pads out and seeing which ones speak to me and then ideas (normally random and totally unusable) just pop into my head and I choose one of the more sensible ones. Please tell me you can't see what goes on in my head!

So with that in mind I chose to use Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Grapefruit Grove with some black to make these fresh colours pop.

This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to use my new It Starts With Art stamp set. I couldn't go past the 'You make everything sparkle' sentiment. Any chance to get glittery right! My Dazzling Diamonds was feeling neglected!

Add some glue where you'd like the glitter to stick, sprinkle over the Dazzling Diamonds then allow to dry for a few minutes before shaking off the excess.

This is not my normal style but I have made it for a crafty teenager who I think will love this. I can see me making lots of things with this set for all of my crafty friends. There are so many great images and sentiments in the set.
