Just Add Ink #454 - Just Add a colour combo

At Just Add Ink this week we have this fabulous colour combination for you. I suggested it .... if you know me you'll have already guessed that I am sure!

Before I got carried away with some of my new products that just arrived, I decided to give some retiring products another go before I forget about them and get new favourites. I thought the Cake Soiree stamp set and coordinating Sweet Cake thinlits would be fun to use with this bright, fresh colour combo.

We've had a wet, dark Easter here on the Sunshine Coast - sunny only by name! - so it was a bit tricky to get my pictures done. I used heat embossed in white, then watercoloured the floral cake decorations. It is always nice to have some cards in different colours. I have left this one without a sentiment so that I can use it for lots of occasions.

I love how the raised heat embossing adds that little bit of shine and depth to projects. I used some retiring embellishments and trim too. The silver mini sequin trim and Best Route enamel shapes are a great addition to your crafting supplies so make sure you get in quickly before they sell out.

Make sure you pop on over to the Just Add Ink page to see how all the other Design Team members used these fab colours. Why not enter your own creation? We always love seeing them!

  1. I loved your choice of colours this week Lou and your cake is gorgeous - love the detail on the stand and the sparkle from the enamel dots and sequins. We had the hottest Easter on record here in the UK - I had the exact opposite problem when photographing that weekend, everything was too bright! Hope the weather has picked up for you now. A fab challenge this week!
