Hi and welcome to our first Colour INKspiration challenge of 2019. Did you notice the gorgeous new graphics? Aren't they fun and fresh .... and summery to match the weather we are currently having here in Australia. The talented Rose Packer designed these fabulous graphics. Thanks Rose!
Our challenge colours tie in perfectly with our new graphics too I just noticed!
I was at a bit of a loss as to how I would use these colours. My mojo has been misplaced! For some weird reason (who can fathom how my brain works!) cactus came to mind! So I used the Flowering Desert stamp set to build up a scene on this fun pocket card.
The Rectangle Stitched Shapes framelits are perfect for adding windows. I love the stitched detail that they add - so clean and neat!
The outside card/pocket is just a regular card size and the inside one is narrower so that it clears the taped edges. I just trimmed until it fit. You might be able to see that I used one of the narrow rectangle framelits to cut a notch out of the top of my pocket so that my bow had a little spot to sit.
I just played around with the stamps to build up a scene. The large cactus was fussy cut and popped up on the front of the pocket with dimensionals.
I thought that the Pineapple Punch frame on the card insert would look great peaking through. It adds to the design when the card is inside the pocket.

I love how seamlessly your rectangles layer together- that looks amazing, especially then Pineapple Frame. Super clever pocket card Miss Lou- for a missing mojo this is marvellous!
ReplyDeleteI love this, you may convert me to liking this stamp set!
ReplyDeleteThose stitched rectangles are so amazing - so many uses and the detailing is marvellous. The cacti look good, snuggled in the window like this.
ReplyDeleteIt all lines up perfectly! I love how bright and fresh the pineapple looks on the frame on the card front and peeking through on the pocket. So much cleverness.
ReplyDeleteVery fresh and pretty Lou.💕
