Colour INKspiration Challenge #45 Blog Hop - 2017 - 2019 In Colours

Time to celebrate the 2017-2019 In Colours with another Colour INKspiration challenge. As usual the Crew are kicking things off with a blog hop to get your creative juices flowing. You can use 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 of the colours along with Basic Black, Whisper White and any metallics.

I've used Powder Pink, Berry  Burst and Fresh Fig along with Silver for a fun,  modern Christmas card. This is one of the card designs we will be making in my upcoming Stamp-a-stack classes. Think the ladies will like it?

I was inspired by Sam Donald (aka Pootles) and her ombre baby wipe technique. It is so easy, yet so, so effective. You fold up a baby wipe, pop it in an empty clear stamp case and ink up with your reinkers. I have used colours that will give a great ombre effect so have added them to my baby wipe in lines. You can add random dots if you like but I think the lines of colour work really well for the bauble from the Beautiful Bauble set.

I found that it worked best when I stamped on glossy cardstock. Adding the die cut bauble to a Silver Foil edged card with coordinating ribbon added that bit of sparkle in a hurry. Quick, simple but pretty!

You can also use the baby wipe stamp pad that you have made for the sentiments too.

Now there is only one problem with a fun technique like this - you can't just stop at stamping one image! The stamp pad also keeps for weeks if you seal it in the clear stamp case. I used another of the gorgeous stamps from the Beautiful Bauble stamp set for this fun card.

I simple stamped the imaged twice, side by side and then twice more on a second piece of glossy card.

I used the coordinating thinlit to die cut all of the baubles and popped them over the base images, raising with Stampin' Dimensionals.

What happens when you accidentally drop a piece of glossy cardstock onto your baby wipe stamp pad? You pretend you meant to do it of course and smear the colour all over it!

It is perfect to go behind this lattice bauble from the Detailed Baubles thinlits. And I really love the ombre sentiment bauble. So much fun! And it really is a quick and easy way to whip up some fun, unique Christmas cards.
