Colour INKspiration Challenge #39 Blog Hop

So August just walked up and smacked me on the head! Where is this year going? Time for another Colour INKspiration challenge. All of the info about the challenge is at the end of my post but I just wanted to remind you of an important change. Stampin' Up! has revamped the colour families so we have had to change the additional colours that you are allowed to use for each challenge. You must use all of the challenge colours and you can add in Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as Metallics.

For this challenge we are focusing on the Subtles colour family. You must use only 3 of the colours for your project. So many choices!

So these are the colours I chose.
I thought that they would work well with the flower stamp from the Artfully Folded stamp set - it is a hostess set that includes fab origami cranes, hearts and stars too.

This is one of those 'I wish you could see this in real life cards'! I have used Wink of Stella and ink to watercolour the images but also to background stamp. In real life it is shimmery and gorgeous. Please just image it in all it's glittery glory! The technique is one that I saw Stampin' Up! Artisan Lauren Alarid use on a card last week. Make sure you check out her gorgeous card. You paint the stamp with Wink Of Stella and stamp. As easy as that!

The Artfully Folded stamp set also has a little arced border stamp. I have stamped it repeatedly on Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the matching ink to make the strip under the main panel.

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by hopping around to see what all of the Colour INKspiration Crew have to show you. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as Metallics. Not a member of the Facebook group yet? Just click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous colours.

Next up we have Narelle. Make sure you check out her take on this colour combination. You will love it!
