Hi and welcome back to another Stampin' Dreams blog hop. I have missed the last few as I was off swanning around Europe. It was fabulous but I am also happy to back creating. For this month we are featuring card and project kits. I have to admit my link to our theme is a bit tenuous but hopefully you will see my train of thought (which always branches of into several different tracks!).
I wanted to feature the Darling Label Punch Box. It is sort of a kit in that it comes with all that you can see below. Just add some cardstock and you are good to go.
It is the perfect set of products to create lots of quick and easy cards. To show the versatility of the 'kit' I have used it here with Coastal Cabana (oh how I missed you CC) and Lovely Lipstick.
I did however take my inspiration from the Soft Saying Card kit on page 8 of the 2018/19 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. The card kits are designed to be quick and easy to put together but to also have fun, interesting designs. If you are ever stuck for ideas check out the designs and you are sure to get some inspiration. I was inspired by the labels with foliage sticking out and the way twine has been used on the cards below.
I have used the Thanks stamp from the Darling Label stamp set and added the Happy Birthday from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. To add more depth, I coloured and hand cut around the foliage and flower and raised it with dimensionals.
The Tufted DTI embossing folder adds a lovely texture and elegance to the card. On the inside of the card I have stamped the top part of the stamp and coloured. I don't have the markers yet so I used my blender pen to pick up the ink from the ink pad lids to colour the images.
So hopefully I have shown you a different way to use card and project kits. They are perfect to spark inspiration. Make sure you complete the hop for lots of fab ideas. Next up is Sue McDonald.
