Stamp Review Crew - Lemon Zest

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hopThe Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it. Get ready for lots of inspiration and lots of reasons to use (or buy😊) this stamp set! Currently you are visiting Lou Kitzelman on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Hi!

For this hop we are featuring Lemon Zest.

I actually don't own this set. Fellow SRC member (and my stamping bestie) Kelly Kent was kind enough to stamp some images for me to play with. Okay so now I think I need this set! The Happy Birthday sentiment alone is fabulous but I chose to use the images to decorate some packaging to hold some fabulous DoTerra essential oils. I love it when you can coordinate packaging with your gift!

Oh and smell this .....

Okay so technology hasn't advanced that far yet so you will just have to take my word for it that each piece of fruit smells of essential oils. One of my other SRC friends, Bronwyn Eastley, made a card last week where she used embossing paste and oils. That got me thinking! I came up with the idea to combine a few drops of oil with some clear Wink Of Stella. Simply add a few drops of each onto a clear block with a few drops of water and use an old paint brush to coat the stamped image. You get sparkly and beautifully smelling images to decorate your packaging with!

The Gable Boxes have a slight shimmer to them and are perfect for fitting a few oils in them.

There are some fabulous sentiments in this stamp set. I made this gift package up for someone going through a difficult time but it would work for someone who is ill as well. I added this to the top of the box and when you turn it around ......

..... you see the second half of the sentiment. I think it is great way to give a thoughtful gift without having some soppy, sappy sentiment that ends up making the person more miserable.

For single oils, the Pillow Boxes work really well. You can add just a single lemon with some ribbon for a quick and easy packaging .....

..... or jazz it up a bit more with a few extra bits!

I so wish you could smell this lemony goodness!

I guess I have talked myself into getting this stamp set (and the coordinating punch) now! Do you need more inspiration? Make sure you hop around to see what all the crew have done with this gorgeous stamp set. Next up is Yapha. Can't wait to see what delights she has come up with.
