Boy these fortnights roll around quickly! Welcome back to another Colour INKspiration challenge where, as usual, we are kicking the challenge off with a blog hop to get your creative juices flowing. Check out our colours and inspiration pic for this challenge.
I decided to use the Rooted in Nature bundle. Probably not the stamp set that first jumps into your mind when you see this colour combination!
I thought it was a fun way to use the stamp set using these pretty, fresh colours.
Colours such as Berry Burst and Grey Granite are perfect for multi generational stamping. Simply ink your stamp and then stamp multiple times without re-inking. Each time you get a lighter image. If you look at the large and smaller leaves below you will see how I have used this technique.
At the moment I have entered my latest phase - the lots of white space phase! It is a great way to add drama to a card without actually doing anything. Win, Win! What is your latest creative phase?
The coordinating Nature's Roots framelits has a few interesting parts to it. There are a few of the framelits that emboss rather than cut out. It is a fabulous way to add texture to your cards. I have added a base layer of embossed leaves to give my card a bit of depth.

I really like the way you've used the embossed leaves, and you're so right, this is such a surprising (but absolutely wonderful) stamp set for these colours. Brilliant card. Loving the white space too. I think I might be in an embossing phase......
ReplyDeleteOh wow - just stunning! So lovely to see this bundle in pink tones! Kelly x
ReplyDeleteGreat colour spin on this set Lou ... totally works!
ReplyDeleteSuch a change from the russets and greens we've been seeing, this card is inspiring me to change up things too.
ReplyDeleteYou pulled it off - that wood stamp in pink is awesome! Love the stamping off of the leaves.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super bundle of foliage. It's so three dimensional but doesn't look out of place in the design. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly gorgeous, Lou. The added element with the Leaves Trinkets is a perfect finish. D xox
