Stamp Review Crew - Bonus hop - Happy Wishes

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it. Get ready for lots of inspiration and lots of reasons to use (or buy😊) this stamp set! This is a bonus hop - lucky you - where we will be featuring stamp sets from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Whether you are starting with me - Lou Kitzelman on the Sunshine Coast, Australia - or have just hopped over from the other side of Australia after visiting my uber-talented friend Kelly Kent, you really are in for something special!

Normally I start off by telling you about what stamp set I am using but I was a bit indecisive this week! Too many great Sale-a-bration stamp sets to choose from! What a lovely problem. So let's look at what my indecision and I came up with first!

The card bases are also in the Sale-a-bration catalogue. You can get 4 of each card with matching envelopes (16 in total!) with qualifying orders. How great is that? I wanted a card fold that made the most of the gorgeous patterns and colours of these card bases and remembered a card fold I taught in a class years ago - an upright Z fold card. I love those oldie but goldies!

They are so easy to make and I just added a few tweaks to update it a bit. That is if you can call skewwiff mats an update! To make, simply fold the card base with the patterned side inwards then fold one edge back towards the centre fold. The card is propped open with a small shape that has a Stampin' Dimensional under it. Make sure to position it at the top of the shape so that your flap has enough room to tuck under. As easy as that. Such a great way to show off these great card bases.

First up I used Happy Wishes. This is an amazing set that has so many phrases that you can put together.

This stamp set makes it so easy to put together a card for specific occasions (or unspecific like this card!).

I used the very ends of the 2 large word stamps to add some little details to the card.

Stampin' Markers are perfect for colouring all of the little details in.

When you open each card up you find a little message panel. I added some details from the stamp edges for decoration.

I thought the Daffodil Delight card base would make a nice Anniversary card.

So I said I had too many Sale-a-bration stamp sets to choose from - I had to make up the other 2 colours of card bases using the Amazing You stamp set and coordinating Celebrate You thinlits - both free with qualifying orders until the end of March.

This might just be my favourite - maybe because I have made if for someone special! Don't you just love that die cut?

I thought I should actually show you how the card stands up!

And how about a card for celebrating just about anything?

I hope that has spurred you on to place an order and earn some of these free products. I should mention that these cards do fold flat to fit into the coordinating envelopes (which I stamped to match the cards).

Make sure you hop around to see what all the crew have done with the free stamp sets from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. Next up is Holly Krautkremer. Can't wait to see what she has made!

    1. Thanks Heidi. You can do this card fold with any standard card base. You just cut the cardstock like you would so that when folded it fits into an envelope. Fold the cardstock as normal and then fold one edge back towards the centre fold. Please let me know if I can help any further.
