Stamp Review Crew - Wood Words

Welcome back to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month for a blog hop. Each hop we will showcase one stamp set and show you just how much you can do with it.

For this hop we are featuring Wood Words.

It is a versatile set that coordinates with the Wood Crate Framelits. Today I am multitasking! I am getting some Christmas cards done and saving time by sticking with the same layout and just changing colours and die cuts.

This is such a quick way to whip up great cards in a hurry. I call it the 'same but different' technique! For each card I started with a card base of Crumb Cake and a piece of Wood Textures DSP - that I had been squirrelling away. I cut each piece of DSP in half to make the most of the gorgeousness. Then I simple added a die cut large shape, a piece of cardstock as a border and some bits and pieces!

Each large shape is cut from Glossy Cardstock, stamped the flower pattern in Versamark, embossed with white and then used a sponge brayer and ink to add the colour. I have also embossed in white a coordinating shape on coloured cardstock.

Add in 'celebrate' from Colour Me Happy, some jute and some wooden Hearts and Stars embellishments and you have some quick, easy yet effective cards.

Wood Words has some great phrases that you can use however for these cards I thought celebrate was perfect. This heart card could be used for Christmas, engagement, anniversary, wedding, pretty much anything really. Multipurpose cards like this are great to have in your stash.

This Rich Razzleberry version might just be my favourite. I would love to hear which is yours!

Make sure you make your way around to see what the other crew members did with this set. Next up is the super talented Heidi Baks. Can't wait to see what she has created!
