Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Carry Over Products

Welcome. You have landed with Lou Kitzelman and I live on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. This is my first time hopping with the Stampin' Dreams crew and I am really happy to be here. It is a monthly blog hop with a different focus each time. For this hop we are showcasing Stampin' Up! products that carried over from the old catalogue into the new 2017/18 Annual Catalogue.

It is sometimes easy to forget about your older products when you get new ones. Hands up who is guilty of that! Sometimes using your older products in conjunction with new ones makes you look at them in a different light and fall in love with them again. I have based my cards for this hop around the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Sunshine Wishes thinlits.

At the end of my post I have listed all of the carry over and new products. I love the bold shapes and words in this set and thought they would look great over a background created with the new embossing paste.

I have added drops of Berry Burst and Powder Pink ink refills to the embossing paste to get the variegated effect. 3 layers offset gave 'love' some great dimension. The Classic Label punch (thank goodness that carried over!) is great for making a feature of the sentiments.

Congrats! Works for any occasion. Sometimes simple is best! I love Silver Foil sheets and they are great to use for diecuts.

To get a stripe of embossing paste through the mask, just run lines of old washi tape to mask off your boundaries.

I am so thankful that these products have carried over. They work so well with the new products and now I have ideas swimming around on how else I can use them.
