Ahhh ...... crazy times ...... somehow it got to be June! Welcome back to another Colour INKspiration challenge. As always we are kicking off the challenge with a blog hop to get your creative juices flowing. Whether you are starting with me or have hopped over from visiting Jacque, you are in for a real treat. We have some warm, winter colours for this challenge. Winter seems to really have kicked in here in Australia so these colours are very timely.
Hopefully you have had a chance get your hands on the Stampin' Up! 2017/18 Annual Catalogue that was released at the beginning of this month. There are beautiful new products in there and I was so pleased to receive a couple of long anticipated products in time for this challenge. I am absolutely in love with the new Embossing Paste and the Climbing Orchid bundle.
You are able to add neutrals and metallics to the colours for our challenges and I thought that gold went really well with the colours and gave the lift I was after.
Now where to start with raving about all of my new pretties! So the Embossing Paste {Love it}. I have used it here to make a brick wall. You can see the accessories at the end of this post but there is a pack of 4 stencils or masks called Party Pattern Decorative Masks that you can use with the Embossing Paste. I have added a drop of Early Espresso Ink Refill to a small amount of Embossing Paste to create this colour of brick.
And the Climbing Orchid bundle! So beautiful! They work with lots of colours but I also love the simplicity of it here with gold Embossing Powder.
Excuse the glare in these pics but I wanted to capture the dimension that you get with the Embossing Paste.
I kept the inside very simple - 1 gold embossed orchid. This card can be used for so many occasions.
Embossing Paste tips:
- When you colour it with Ink Refills you will have a bit left over. Store in the little sauce pots you get with takeaway meals for use on other projects. These containers are airtight.
- Before you use the Embossing Paste set yourself up with a container of water that will fit the masks in and a towel. The paste dries quickly so you want to make sure you wash your masks straight away.
