Watercolour succulents Pop Out Strip Card - JAI#343

So I'm back in love with my Oh So Succulent bundle. If you saw some of my other projects that I have made with them...when I didn't have the framelits...... you'll understand why we have been on a break! The challenge this week over at Just Add Ink is perfect for us to make up. This week the challenge is to Just Add Something Pop-Up & Interactive - JAI#343. Now if you know me, you know I love a good pop up and interactive card!

I am really loving the Pop Out Strip card fold that I first showed you here. It is so easy but is great for showing off your die cut elements....especially now that I can die cut them! The inside looks a bit plain in the photo but I really wanted to showcase the succulents and leave room for a big message.

The front of the card is pretty simple and I was able to use some of  my free Sale-a-bration products - Delicate Details stamp set and Metallic Ribbon. You can choose a free product from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue for every $90 you spend.

The Stitched Framelits that are back in stock are really beautiful for sentiment panels. The stitched detail really adds a touch of class. I've used Watercolour Pencils to colour each succulent. They make it really easy to shade so that you get depth to your images.

A strip on the inside is the perfect place to hang your succulents from. You can find out how to make this card fold here.

So I think I can well and truly say my Oh So Succulent bundle and I have made up and are back on track!

  2. Saw you in the JAI gallery Lou and it reminded me that I hadn't popped by your blog in a while; I've just spent a pleasant while catching up on your fabulous makes! I love this pop out and the previous one with the balloons; easy enough to do with a class too as an introduction to a fancy fold. You are a creative genius!

  9. I'm with Tina, the succulents are doing nothing for me, however, your projects are awesome! I love the bright pop of colour, and the inside of your card is far from plain. I haven't seen this particular style before, but I'll be sure to give it a whirl soon. Thanks for joining the first Just Add Ink challenge of the year. x
