International Blog Hightlight - Travel

http://www.craftykylie.com/2017/01/kylies-international-highlights-vote.html

Thanks for coming to my blog today! We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so I'd love your vote. You can do that here. Our theme for this highlight is Travel! I've taken a bit of a liberty with the theme and stretched it to travelling through the year or life. I wanted to make a card that could fit for a lot of occasions depending on the message you wrote in the card. So this is the inside of my card..........

......and here is the front.

I came across this card fold when I was supposed to be creating but was 'researching' instead! I'm sure you can relate. You can see the great samples by Pia Gerhardt from Germany here that sparked my interest. It is really simple to make and puts on quite a show when you stand it up. I have called it a Pop Out Strip Card. It has a folded strip inside so that you can suspend elements to give a bit of dimension to your card.

The other great thing is there is no scoring and you can adapt this for any cardstock size. (Australian A4 cardstock is slightly different to US cardstock). To make this card:
  • Cut a piece of cardstock in half lengthways and fold in half.
  • Cut a strip from the length of left over cardstock about 2.5 cm (1") wide and the length of your cardstock. Fold in half and then fold each end back to the middle fold so that it looks like a letter M.
  • Adhere your DSP to the card inside if desired then adhere the first and last section of your folded strip to the card. See the picture below to help you.
  • Adhere die cut elements and sentiment panels to the pop out strip, making sure that you can close the card properly.

The Lift  Me Up bundle is great for this theme and card fold. Love the DSP? It is one of the items you can get for free for every $90 AUD that you spend during the Sale-a-bration promotion (until March 31).

The Sale-a-bration Catalogue is full of beautiful products that you can get for free. See the Metallic Ribbon? I got that for free - and it comes in a 2 pack - silver as seen here and gold.

I've suspended a little note from the middle sized balloon. Too cute!

I hope that you have fun looking through the new Occasions Catalogue and deciding what free items you will choose from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. Use the contact or shopping tabs to get some of these products into your hot little hands. Thanks for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie's blog to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.

Lou

PS. Thank you to all who voted for me. I was lucky enough to chosen in the top 10.
