I'm loving the new Painter's Palette stamp set from Stampin' Up! You might have seen my easel card here. I thought that the set lent itself to pictures hanging on a wall. Using the new Layering Squares Framelits and foam adhesive strips makes is super quick.
The Wild about Flowers stamp set fits perfectly in the frames and has great 2 part sentiments that work well with this idea. For some reason I thought that I would hang this frame on a tree by using the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder and staples.
The new Copper Embossing powder adds a lovely detail to the frames and pins. Unfortunately you'll have to take my word for it as it was very hard to capture in the photos!
The Layering Squares Framelits has scalloped squares in it. Don't limit yourself to squares - use them to make rectangles for sentiments. To do this I stamped my sentiment on scrap Whisper White cardstock and then positioned the framelit where I wanted it at the top and die cut. Then I moved the framelit to where I wanted it at the bottom, fitting the scallops on the cardstock into the framelit.
Every picture needs a wall to hang on so I used my Hardwood stamp with Versamark ink and Kraft cardstock to make wood panelling. Of course there is always that one painting that hangs askew!
The inside of each card is very simple with the flower from the frame on the front and the rest of the sentiment.
