Just Add Ink Challenge #267 - Just add topography

Just Add Ink has great challenges each week. Week after week I have been looking at them and thinking of what I could make for each one but not quite getting to the making stage. Well today I actually made something to enter this week's challenge and despite the bad lighting conditions due to bad weather I am really happy with what I have come up with.

The challenge is to ... Just add topography ... to use font or type to create a print. I have been asked to make some cards for eighteenth and twenty-first birthdays and thought this challenge would match beautifully with these occasions. So I went to my 'go to' card fold of the easel fold. Even though it is a fold that has been around for ages I find that people still love getting cards using it. It is so great to be able to stand up your cards - especially if they are for special occasions.

I have used the new stamp set Layered Letters Alphabet by Stampin' Up!. It is such an easy set to line up and use and I think that the crisp images make for a really simple elegant card. Throw in a bit of metallic thread and a button or cord and you are good to go. after I had finished my first card I was so pleased with it that I thought I would copy it for the second.

I really love this colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Night of Navy. The gold thread really sets it off. Unfortunately the light was not right today and it is a bit hard to see the detail - the Sunshine Coast is not so sunny!

I am still in love with Mint Macaron and teamed it with Calypso Coral and Backberry Bliss for this 21st card. The dots on the inside are from the Watercolor Wings set. I can see that I will using these little letters a lot.

Here's what you need to make these cards.
