Just Add Ink #574 - Just Add 2 - Stellar Birthday

 

 

It's a Just Choose 2 challenge for you at Just Add Ink this week. 

I found this one a bit tricky! I tried several combinations but they all seemed a fit weird and forced. So I mizzled off to have a coffee and ponder and the idea just popped into my head. I remembered the sentiment (from the Stellar Birthday stamp set) and it just came together from there. 

I know I have used them a lot lately, but I really do love the Christmas Tree dies! These are the only dies I have used from the set so far and I love that you can use them for occasions other than Christmas. I do have a new card coming tomorrow using the dies and coordinating stamp set so stay tuned!

These gorgeous stitched stars are from the Give It a Whirl dies, as is the label for the sentiment. This is such a simple and quick design. I have torn Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight cardstock and layered it over Balmy Blue cardstock. The ground (or mountains as they looked more like when I finished) is made from Cork Specialty Paper. I so love it! Adds lovely texture. I've just ordered some more as I am using it so much!

There were a few trees and a star left over so I just popped them on the inside of my card with narrow offcuts of Cork. No waste here! Oh and I should mention, in case you hadn't worked it out, I have chosen to use stars and silhouette.
