Just Add Ink #568 - Just Add a Sketch

 


Hey! We have a fun sketch for you for this week's challenge at Just Add Ink. It just happens to be my sketch. It is quite simple and sometimes that is the best way to start! 



I really love the Whimsy and Wonder Suite in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue. It's really fun and modern and uses a non-traditional Christmas colour scheme. So far I have only used the trees from the Christmas Trees Dies. I love these trees!


As you can seen I have followed the sketch pretty exactly. It is a really great design to follow if you ever get stuck. Sometime simple really is best!


At the  moment during these crazy COVID times you have to find joy in the little things. I found an inordinate amount of joy when I discovered that I could heat emboss on the Cork Specialty Paper. Oh it was a good day! The sentiment is from the Merriest Moments stamp set.


My mat is embossed using the gorgeous Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder  and has a mat of Kraft 6" x 6" Paper. Add in a bow using the white twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. Have you got that pack of twine yet? I have to tell you, it really is my go to!


I wasn't sure how my design would turn out so I die cut a large and small tree from each colour ... just in case. The extras were added inside my card. A quick and easy touch!

    Your card is sooo sweet! The colours are beautiful, and those trees! I am so tempted to get those dies, just for the trees.

    Such a lovely card using the sketch. And I didn't know that you could heat emboss on cork either. Plus simple can be wonderful.
