Hi! Welcome to another ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) blog hop. We are saying farewell to many retiring products. It is always a bitter sweet time of year. Time to say goodbye to old favourites (the bitter) to make way for awesome new products (the sweet). So whether you are starting with me or have hopped over after visiting the lovely
Monique Fielder, get ready to discover lots of products you didn't know you needed!
My gorgeous friend Liz Gross recently sent me one of her Tri-panel DSP Fancy Fold Cards. It is such a nifty card fold and it is the perfect way to show off both sides of DSP. You can see Liz's instructions on how to make it
here. I have made heaps of these since receiving my card and thought it would be the perfect fold to use with the retiring
Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. I have to admit that my cards turned out a little fussier than I had intended but decided that it was good to create in a different style for a change.
I have also used the retiring
So Much More stamp set. It is such a pretty stamp set and I will be sad to see it go. I have watercoloured the images using ink from the
Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad and
Rococo Rose Classic Stampin' Pad. Both of these colours are part of the retiring InColors. Oh pretty pretty Pretty Peacock ..... I will miss you! I feel like you are the colour made for me!
Behind each watercoloured bloom I have placed a laser cut element from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper (now sold out). I have used the back to try and tone down my card. The gold was a bit shouty!
Liz's nifty fold opens out to reveal the other side of the DSP and a message panel. I have kept it simple as the DSP design is quite busy already.
Make sure you hop around to each participant. I am sure that you will find lots of retiring products that you didn't know you needed! Next up you are off to visit my friend Cathy Pinchbeck.

Two absolutely stunning cards Lou. I love the addition of pink to the greens of the Forever Greenery DSP
ReplyDeleteSuper Pretty Lou! I am always looking for different folds to try, this one looks fun to decorate. Mandy x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Lou, and I love how you've combined the gorgeous So Much More stamp with the all the fabulous elements of the Forever Greenery suite. I too will be so sorry to see the Pretty Peacock go - it was one of my very favourite colours x
ReplyDeleteOh I love your cards Lou, very elegant and I like how you used the white side instead of the gold on the laser cut piece. Your gold thread just adds that little bit extra to finish the card in style. Beautiful. x
ReplyDeleteWow two such stylish cards Lou and your water colouring is perfect as well as the accents you’ve added to finish off your beautiful card . Thanks also for the link for the card tutorial, I’m always after new folds for my classes .n
