Social Stamping - Animals - Bonanza Buddies

Hi! How is your Saturday going? I hope that you have found some time to do something creative. You are joining me for another Social Stamping blog hop, hosted by the fabulous Kelly Kent. Our theme today is animals. So make sure you hop around to each blog to see some wonderful creations. If you get lost at any time you can always come back to Kelly's main post here.

I am in desperate need of some cute cards for kids in my stash so this theme was perfect. The Bonanza Buddies bundle (which sob, sob, is retiring) is perfect. So I had the purpose and products but something was missing. Mojo! Where did you go? Are you in isolation?

Rather than phaffing about (who has time for that right?), I turned to the mini catalogue for inspiration. Some days you just don't have to reinvent the wheel! There is a sample on the top left of page 34 that I decided would be perfect to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit). Why not make the most of someone else's mojo when yours goes missing I say!

So I've kept it pretty much the same - same layout, just different Designer Series Paper (DSP) and koala placement. If you ever get like me and loose that mojo don't be afraid to CASE. As long as you acknowledge where the original idea came from you are all good! And the Stampin' Up! catalogues are just full of projects to CASE!

Okay! So after making my first card I felt a bit of a creative spark starting to enter the body! I had intended to use the same layout as above but with the toucans. Turns out that is not how toucans roll! They prefer portrait! Who knew!

And then, with a desk strewn with stuff and being in need of a third card I whipped up this quick and easy card. My original crazy idea was to put the tiny pom poms on the hats of the animals on the DSP! What was I thinking! They were totally too big! I'll just have to think of another 'great' way to use them up!

To make way for lots of fabulous products from the upcoming Annual Catalogue, I have tried to use up some retiring products. You can find the list of all of the products that I have used here. Make sure to get in quick to order anything that you like. Retiring products will only be available until June 2.

Make sure you continue around to see the rest of the animal antics. Next up is the fabulous Shannon Kissane.
